機殼由頂殼、側板(兩塊)、集油罩組成，均采用冷軋薄鋼板并經烤漆制成，或采用表面經噴塑、搪瓷處理，也有用不銹鋼板制成，使外型光亮美觀、耐用易于清潔。

　　電機主要由前、后殼、定子、轉子構成，分別安裝在頂殼的兩個圓形的塑料法蘭中，電動機后殼安裝了一個后蓋，起防塵作用。

　　外排式油煙凈化器使用的電動機結構簡單，啟動性能好，轉矩大，噪聲低，運轉平穩(wěn)。由于電動機長期在油煙和水蒸氣環(huán)境中使用，所以對電機的要求特別高，而采用絕緣性能、防潮、防腐蝕性能好的全封閉式電動機。
